The non-ticket Basketball Pro Fun Version is all about playing for “fun.” It is optimized for a non-redemption clientele that includes bars and other street locations. The dedicated Fun Version has a single front door design that supports one bill validator, along with two coin mechanisms. The ticket signage of the original redemption game has been removed, and “how to play” decals are placed where the ticket readouts are situated on the redemption version. Additionally, where the “big win” readouts are located at the top of the original game, there is only a “top score” readout on the Fun Version (here the best player can point to his Basketball Pro achievement!). Operators can add a cashless reader option to accept credit cards and mobile payments, which are becoming more common on amusement machines, and boost earnings.

Tickets are won with every play, based on where the truck stops. Detailed graphics and sounds abound. The game borrows from a popular theme in the Jurassic Park movies: dinosaurs chasing trucks. The game’s objective is to “escape from the island.” The central components are two miniature off-road vehicle replicas that players push up the railed tracks. Bobblehead Baseball is Andamiro’s newest video redemption game and first licensed title from MLB Players Inc., a subsidiary of the MLBPA. The new “videdemption” game pits arcade gamers against the bobble-headed avatars of MLB’s biggest stars in this fast-action, wholesome video game that awards tickets. The novel game has three adjustable difficulty levels (easy, normal and hard) and its pitchers are programmed to throw fastballs, curveballs or changeups. There are seven outfield targets that players can hit or need to avoid. Aim for the targets with points to accumulate tickets or hit the letters to spell G-R-A-N-D—S-L-A-M to win the Super Bobblehead Bonus. But try to avoid hitting the out markers – three outs end the game, naturally. Players apply hand-eye coordination to time their swings and accurately aim the ball.
