Thank you for choosing Moss Distributing

Freight Policy of Moss Distributing, Inc.

At Moss Distributing, Inc., we leverage our partnerships with premier carriers to fulfill your logistics requirements effectively. Our dedicated shipping team strives to secure the most competitive rates, ensuring a smooth and efficient delivery experience.

Please note that all freight quotes are time-sensitive and come with an expiration date. Rates are guaranteed up until this date, after which they are subject to change due to the dynamic nature of freight pricing. Factors such as market fluctuations and seasonal demands can lead to variability in transportation costs. In the event that a quote expires prior to the availability of your product, a new quote will be necessary. The revised quote may be either lower or higher, influenced by a multitude of factors, including up to 25 variable charges and the prevailing market conditions.

Moss Distributing does not provide shipping cost estimates but rather facilitates the procurement of transportation services through third-party carriers. It is essential to be aware that additional services, known as accessorial charges, may be applied to your shipment, affecting the final freight rate. Usually, these charges will be itemized on your invoice, and we recommend reviewing them closely.

For any inquiries or assistance with your shipping needs, please contact our shipping department, and we will be pleased to guide you through the process.

Damaged Equipment

This guide provides clear steps to ensure the smooth arrival of your product. We value your order and strive to deliver it in pristine condition for your immediate enjoyment. However, should there be any unexpected issues or damages during transit, we're committed to addressing them swiftly and effectively. Your assistance in this process is crucial and greatly appreciated.

DAMAGE CLAIM GUIDELINES

Upon your product's arrival:

  1. Verify the shipment's count against the Proof of Delivery (POD) and packing list.
  2. Examine each item for potential damage. Unpack and inspect contents when feasible.
  3. Notate the POD accordingly:
    • Sign for complete, undamaged shipments.
    • Highlight any shortages to the driver and note them on the POD.
    • Note any minor damages to the product or packaging on the POD.
    • For major, irreparable damages, refuse the shipment and mark “Refused” on the POD.

CONCEALED DAMAGE

If damage is discovered post-delivery with a signed POD, it's termed "concealed damage".  As per NMFC Item 300135-A, report such damages to the carrier and Moss Distributing within FIVE business days. Failure to do so might result in a denied claim or reduced compensation.

Concealed damage claims can either be denied or settled for a partial value of the product based on the carrier's judgment. It's crucial to understand that if such damage isn't reported to both the carrier and Moss Distributing within five business days, the claim will not be processed.
