Metallica Remastered  is updated with a full-color LCD display featuring all-new animations and live concert video footage. Stern’s modern Spike 2 electronics will power the gameplay experience.  Fans will enjoy expanded gameplay and improved presentation with 22 songs (8 more than the original) and expanded gameplay rules. Cabinet improvements include an Expression Lighting system and 2 all-new art packages by  Metallica  artist Rhys Cooper.  Players will experience the same great flow from the original Metallica playfield layout with geometry and mechanical improvements, new versions of gameplay toys, updated mechanical devices, and new UV lighting effects. Stern Pinball has ensured that extra care and attention to detail has gone into every facet of  Metallica Remastered  while respecting the timeless classic game created by pinball legends John Borg and Lyman F. Sheats, Jr. The design team, led again by John Borg and software engineer Raymond Davidson, has created a modern version of the original masterpiece. John Borg’s classic playfield architecture has been enhanced with three all-new sculptures: Sparky, the Hammer, new RGB-illuminated Skulls, and a new  Metallica  logo spell-out on the back panel. Dramatic UV lighting effects have been implemented throughout the playfield and on Sparky, and the game includes numerous quality and durability refinements. The iconic Lyman Sheats rule set has been carefully enhanced to add two new game modes based on Metallica’s two most recent albums, last year’s Grammy-winning 72 Seasons and 2016’s Hardwired…to Self-Destruct, as well as a new “Blackened” Wizard Mode. The  Metallica Remastered  software also includes numerous refinements throughout and an enhanced illuminated insert array to support the new game rules while preserving the classic gameplay feel from the original. Metallica Remastered  features an entirely new suite of presentation elements, including all video content and animations, new sound effects, and over 1,000 new speech calls that include callouts by the band. Eight new  Metallica  songs have been seamlessly integrated into the game and include new supporting animations, movies, and HD-quality live concert footage selected by the band. The Expression Lighting system for the cabinet and speakers comes standard.

To celebrate this platinum anniversary, Stern Pinball has created a special 70th Anniversary Premium Edition version of their Godzilla pinball machine. A dynamic black and white edition, the pinball game features special foil greyscale decals on the cabinet, new greyscale color toys and special backglass artwork to commemorate the special anniversary. Godzilla 70th Anniversary Premium Editions are available worldwide. For Godzilla fans looking for even more kaiju-fighting fun, Stern has created an adrenaline-inducing software update available for all existing models of the game. The update introduces the King of the Monsters via a Challenge Mode. The King of the Monsters Challenge can be accessed through the game mode menu, and features the same standard mode rules as the original Wizard Mode. Players can also compete for the top score in a new ‘High Score To Date’ table added exclusively for this challenge mode. All models include the distinct “Magna-Save”, a player-controlled magnet used to prevent a ball from draining, and timed resetting drop targets.  In addition, Black Knight: Sword of Rage features a legacy sound package composed and performed by Scott Ian of Anthrax with Brendon Small, adrenalizing the audio experience for players on their journey, and custom speech by Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies.

The new one-player Spider-Man version retains the engaging gameplay of the original two-player model while offering a more compact configuration suitable for a variety of arcade settings and operators’ budgets.   True to the original, the one-player cabinet is adorned with striking Spider-Man motifs that immediately grab attention. Inside, players engage in the same kinetic gameplay experience that demands precision. Players fire coins causing them and Spider-Man’s iconic blue and red spheres to accumulate on the pusher platform. As the coins and balls amass, they inch closer to the pusher edge, eventually falling over.   Sleek design and gameplay Despite the size reduction, the one-player game maintains the core mechanics and interactive elements that made the original two-player model a big hit. It incorporates the same self-contained in-game elements – silver coins, small blue balls and big red balls – that players use to navigate through the game’s objectives.    Key mechanical features carried over from the two-player version include:   • The “auto-rotating coin-firing mechanism,” which emulates Spider-Man’s web-shooting gesture. Using a simple one-button activation, the firing feature enhances gameplay to launch coins in quick succession. The player times their shots to strike the illuminated targets.   • The “rapid auto shot event” that releases up to 45 coins in a 15-second interval (default), with adjustable time settings allowing for 30 to 90 bonus shots.   • The “Big Ball drop armature,” which pivots left to drop red balls onto the playfield.   However, there are a few differences. To accommodate the one-player’s compacted package, the Spider Sense gauge and Super Spin game that are present in the two-player version have been omitted. Instead, the one-player model boasts an expanded Big Ball game in which the prize layout has been updated to include seven target holes, comprised of six ticket value prizes and one for the super bonus, enhancing the reward structure for players.  Gameplay mechanics  Players aim to strike illuminated targets with coins to drop small blue balls onto the pusher platform and advance their position on Spider-Man’s journey map. Lighting up red markers on the map releases big red balls, and when the red balls are pushed over the ledge, the Big Ball game is activated.  The one-player Spider-Man Coin Pusher continues to deliver the engaging and immersive experience now in a space-efficient package. 

The high-flying Angry Birds franchise is slingshotting at full-speed into the arcade. Raw Thrills, Play Mechanix and Rovio Entertainment are excited to hatch Angry Birds Boom! - a beak-busting, snout-smashing video redemption game with an explosive, competitive twist on the iconic Angry Birds gameplay. In Angry Birds Boom!, up to two players launch Red and Chuck - the gravity-defying heroes of the Angry Birds universe - into destructible, physics-based worlds overflowing with teetering structures, conniving Bad Piggies and their evil, diabolical leaders, King Pig and Foreman Pig. The players rack up points by unleashing maximum mayhem and chaos - as well as unearthing hidden treasures - before the timer runs out, with the higher score crowned champion of pig-popping pandemonium and winning the majority of the tickets. The bombastic Angry Birds Boom! cabinet features custom Red- and Chuck-themed force-feedback controllers, a tantalizing 65-inch display with an interactive RGB LED border and colorful artwork of fan-favorite Angry Birds characters.

Stern’s new  The Uncanny X-Men  pinball games feature Wolverine, Professor X, Cyclops, Storm, Colossus, Beast, Rogue, Gambit, Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Bishop, Kitty Pryde, and Magneto, along with a supporting cast of allies and foes. The adventure takes players to familiar X-Men locations including the Danger Room, Beast’s Lab, the X-Mansion, and Genosha. Along the way players will interact with fabled X-Men devices like Cerebro and the X-Jet. The Uncanny X-Men playfield  is a unique pinball layout that features an array of new crossing shots and ramp designs with surprising ball trajectories to deliver kinetic satisfaction. The all-new Danger Room design, located to the left of the main flippers, offers a high-risk, high-reward experience that includes a mini-flipper and a novel outlane spinner. Premium and Limited Edition models also include an all-new elevated captive ball vari-target themed as Beast’s Lab. The Uncanny X-Men pinball  game features a mechanically articulated Sentinel for the player to battle. The Sentinel’s large robotic head changes its state based on the player’s actions.
