Stern’s new The Uncanny X-Men pinball games feature Wolverine, Professor X, Cyclops, Storm, Colossus, Beast, Rogue, Gambit, Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Bishop, Kitty Pryde, and Magneto, along with a supporting cast of allies and foes. The adventure takes players to familiar X-Men locations including the Danger Room, Beast’s Lab, the X-Mansion, and Genosha. Along the way players will interact with fabled X-Men devices like Cerebro and the X-Jet. The Uncanny X-Men playfield is a unique pinball layout that features an array of new crossing shots and ramp designs with surprising ball trajectories to deliver kinetic satisfaction. The all-new Danger Room design, located to the left of the main flippers, offers a high-risk, high-reward experience that includes a mini-flipper and a novel outlane spinner. Premium and Limited Edition models also include an all-new elevated captive ball vari-target themed as Beast’s Lab. The Uncanny X-Men pinball game features a mechanically articulated Sentinel for the player to battle. The Sentinel’s large robotic head changes its state based on the player’s actions. In the Premium and Limited Edition models, the Sentinel rises from underneath the playfield and fights back by destroying the player’s ramps or attacking the ball with its extended hands. “X-Men is a time-honored franchise that Marvel and Stern fans love. It’s the superhero franchise that I grew up with. We’re excited for fans to experience the fun of The Uncanny X-Men pinball,” said Seth Davis, President & CEO of Stern Pinball. The Uncanny X-Men ’s game experience is masterfully illustrated in comic book style art by renowned artist Jeremy Packer, aka Zombie Yeti. Each game also features a custom X-Men soundtrack with diverse musical styles designed to immerse the player into the game’s various time periods. The soundtrack was composed by Charlie Benante of Anthrax and Pantera fame. The game’s video presentation makes the classic Days of Future Past story come to life in animated motion graphics style. The Days of Future Past story takes place in Marvel’s Earth-811 timeline and as an homage, our numbered Limited Edition games will be limited to 811 games globally for The Uncanny X-Men . The highly collectible Limited Edition model includes the new Speaker Expression Lighting System with X-Men-themed game effects, a “Danger Room” inspired mirrored backglass, reflective foil “Future vs. Past” high-definition cabinet decals with artwork by Zombie Yeti, exclusive “Sentinel Armor” powder-coated pinball armor, a custom designer-autographed bottom arch, upgraded audio system, anti-reflection pinball playfield glass, shaker motor, a sequentially numbered plaque, a signed Certificate of Authenticity, and a digital Insider Connected LE owner’s badge on registration. While accumulating symbol prizes the meters on the top of the screen will rise. When the meter reaches the top, the Lucky Wheel will spin for prizes and the player will have a chance for the Jackpot. When the Devil symbol appears the meters will droop two levels. When the Wild symbol appears on a winning pay line the meter will go up one extra level. In Happy Hour the bartender will randomly spill beer during the game which will turn one reel to Wild symbols. If a player lands the Dice symbol on the pay line, one of four things can happen. The bartender will roll the dice to reveal if the player will enter the Multiplier feature, Respin feature, Bonus game, or Free Games. The Multiplier feature will be triggered if the Dice shows Wild. The dice will reveal the multiplier number to increase the winning symbols odds. When the Dice shows Respin, the Respin feature will begin. Three respin times will be awarded. Three more reels and two more pay lines are added to the game. The bartender will move the pay line frame. When the frame stops, the prizes will be awarded according to the winning pay lines in the frame. The Bonus game will be triggered if the Dice shows Bonus. Players will play darts with the bartender for three rounds. Press stop to decide your score range. The total score will become the multiplier. If the players total points are more than the bartenders the player will win bonus credits. If the Dice reveals Free Game that feature will begin. The player will play a mini game that determines the Free Game times and the total multiplier. During the Free Games the player plays with at least three pay lines and every time the arrow symbol appears, Happy Hour will add another pay line. There is a potential for six total pay lines. When a player lands three Open 24 Hour symbols on the pay line the Jackpot will be awarded. In Crazy Fishin’ the Wild symbol can substitute for all symbols except the Scatter symbol. When the Bobber symbols appear they will be auto collected on the top of the reel. When four Bobber symbols are collected on a reel the full reel will become wild for the next three plays. If three Scatter symbols appear on the pay line the player can choose to enter the Bonus game or Free games. In the Bonus game there is only one chance to spin the reel and the player may win prizes or get fishing Bobbers to enter the next stage. In the second stage the player can select any of the Bobbers on the screen to try to catch the fish. The bigger the fish the bigger the prize. The Bonus game ends when the player runs out of Bobbers. During the Free games the player will be awarded five Free games and there will be five active pay lines. Bonus Play symbols will appear randomly on the reels. When the Free games end, the accumulated Bonus Plays will be played in the Bonus Round. In the first round of Bonus Plays, all wins will be doubled and any Bonus Play symbols will accumulated more times of Bonus Play in the next round. In the second round of Bonus Play all wins will be tripled and Bonus Play symbols will continue to accumulate. The more rounds you play the higher the multiplier you may win. Bonus Play ends when there are no more Bonus Play symbols to accumulate more plays.
